The Ninth Child
a novel by J. Ludlow
ABOUT ME
I grew up loving dinosaurs, rocks, and stars. My parents got me my first telescope when I was eight. I never missed an episode of Star Trek. I learned to fly at sixteen and I majored in geophysics at Texas A&M. I was going to be an astronaut.
Somehow I ended up working in the oil industry with my husband. We traveled to Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Taiwan. Think Goldie Hawn in a James Bond movie. Yes, I did have a briefcase full of money. Yes, I did jump out of a moving taxi.
With the birth of two wonderful children, I had the privilege of becoming a stay at home mom. After the children left for college, and everyone wanted to know if I did anything beside sit on the couch and read magazines, I started tinkering with an idea for a story and The Ninth Child was born. I entered the amazing world of writing. It is a world that I love, and a world where, with Andrea, I finally get to fly in space.
